Living in Sherwood, Oregon for over 10 years, you’ll find The Gardner Team volunteering, sponsoring and supporting various Sherwood events, school and sports programs in addition to client, community and neighborhood events they host personally.  With every-single-transaction The Gardner’s proudly give back - helping to strengthen the Sherwood community they proudly live in and serve.  The Gardner Team with The Hasson Company are active, annual sponsors of these and other events or needs around the Sherwood area:

Founders of "Stuff the Truck" a community service project that provides truck-loads of hope to community fundraisers, benefits and drives.

Here's a little more information about some of these organizations and events we've been involved with...

Stuff the Truck:  Putting some muscle into making a difference, Stuff the Truck is fueled by community spirit and proudly serves the Sherwood community.  Dedicated at the 20th annual Cruisin' Sherwood car show in June, 2010, Stuff the Truck's mission is to help those making a positive difference in their community, drive awareness to your cause, put the FUN into FUNdraising and provide truck loads of hope for charities, benefits and drives.  In just the first 6 months of hitting the street, Stuff the Truck helped several causes and the amazing people who were making it happen.  Find out what Stuff the Truck is up to, or to reserve this free community resource by visiting  www.StufftheTruck.org

   

 

Private benefit bank drives:  We feel honored to be a part of such a caring community that's willing to rally together to make a difference in the lives of others. In 2010 The Gardner Team helped organize private drives benefiting specific families faced with personal hardships - combined, these drives helped raise several thousand dollars on their behalf.  To find out more about the benefit bank drives established by The Gardner Team, you can contact us directly or speak with Chris or Judy our representatives at the Old Town Sherwood branch.

 

 

Sherwood School Sponsors:  We believe the foundation to building stronger communities begins with schools.  In 2010 we sponsored Sherwood High School, Edy Ridge, Middleton and Hopkins (All schools we've attended living in Sherwood for more than a decade!)  Our sponsorship levels helped towards fundraising events, fun-runs, carnivals, classrooms, causes, drives and athletic programs.  We love our schools and they're a top priority to us!

Sherwood Family Triathlon Sponsor:  Part of all the proceeds raised during the 2010 Sherwood Family Triathlon helped Sherwood Charter School and went towards building Sherwood's future Skate Park.  Hosted by the Charter School and YMCA, there was swimming, along with bike and running courses meandering through Woodhaven.  There was a huge BBQ and Radio Disney on site. This fun school fundraiser promotes an active, fun, family friendly lifestyle.  While participating, our booth served as the Red Cross station, and being a school event, we purchased hundreds of school supplies that we passed out to kids.  Also there to volunteer, we took several pictures for the event throughout the day.

Sherwood Bowmen Sponsors:  We are proud annual Crimson + Plus sponsors of our Sherwood Bowmen and appreciate the volunteers, staff, teachers, coaches and Booster Club who are dedicated to our kids and make our Sherwood schools among the TOP in Oregon.  "GO BOWMEN!"

 

 

Sherwood Junior Baseball Sponsors:  Baseball is a big love in our family, we're proud to be ongoing GOLD Sponsors for Sherwood Junior Baseball over they years. Our sponsorship helps the league in many ways, outfits youth teams, helps to purchase equipment, trophies and cares for the fields. Over the years Jason has also enjoyed giving his time to volunteer as head and assistant coach - and if you know Jason, you know his passion for baseball...  "Let's Play Ball!"

 

Annual Tree Event:  Since 2005 we've been hosting our annual tree giving event benefiting our clients, guests and supporting a local tree farm.  It's become a HUGE "treedition" and we love celebrating the season of giving with a gift of appreciation.  Each year we also do a big giveaway - the past two years we've given a flat screen T.V.!

Cruisin' Sherwood Sponsors:  Proud Event Sponsors for the Sherwood Chambers largest annual community event.  At the 2010 car show, we also debuted our community service project, Stuff the Truck.  Donating our booth space to fundraise for charitable organizations, we dedicated our space to the Sherwood Booster Club to sell spirit items, Bowmen bucks and raise awareness at the 2010 event. In 2011 we celebrated Stuff the Trucks first birthday, celebrating by hosting a fundraiser for Relay for Life.  The car show is an amazing event with hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators participating.  This was also the 5th year The Gardner Team has purchased and passed out "hot wheels" to the kids - totaling over 1,000 given away to date.

Music on the Green Sponsors - What a great summer event, we are proud to be a main event sponsor for the City of Sherwood's Music on the Green concert series at Stella Olsen Park.  We also purchased balloons for the kids and handed them out each week.

Robin Hood Festival Sponsors:  Every year since 2005 we've been proud sponsors of the Robin Hood Festival.

Relay for Life Sponsors:  Proud annual GOLD sponsors for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in our hometown of Sherwood, Oregon.  We are also members of Team Top Gun and Team Liam.  Team Top Gun was also Sherwood's TOP fundraising team for 2010!  Why do we Relay?  For our family and friends. To have the opportunity to celebrate more birthdays with those we love and care about.  Because we "Sherwood" love to find a cure!  Please consider getting involved, it's a great cause and your personal or business participation and support is needed.

Sherwood Helping Hands:  We are proud annual sponsors, supporters and regular volunteers at Sherwood Helping Hands food bank.

Given' Gobble Sponsors: In 2010 we were one one the main event sponsors and helped with the silent auction for Given' Gobble, the largest food drive held for Sherwood Helping Hands. This event brings in enough food and funds to help feed hundreds of people every month. We were also volunteers and helped run the auction tables.  A great day with great friends, working together to serve a great cause!

Sherwood Green Day Sponsors:  In 2010 we were proud sponsors of Sherwood's first Earth Day celebration in Old Town.  Our sponsorship brought in the Bike Carnival, the main attraction for the kids at the event.  We also purchased hundreds of eco-friendly bags that we passed out, and partnered with the local Sherwood Cycle Shop to get this brand new bike for a giveaway.  Special thanks to U.S. Bank for showcasing it in their window leading up to the event and congratulations to the lucky winner!  She's one happy girl!  

Supply Drive for Helping Hands:  You've heard the old adage, "see a need fill it" well that's just what we did.  Volunteering at Sherwood Helping Hands, we came across a real need for everyday supplies.  Basic necessities that became harder to come by in a down economy.  We decided to take it to the Sherwood community, and with the help of local churches, dental offices, businesses and friends we were able to collect enough necessities in need to fill two truckloads.  A great example of Sherwood's giving spirit.  

Neighborhood Garage Sale Sponsors: 2011 marked our 7th Annual neighborhood garage sale event. Starting with Heron Ridge in 2005, it's grown to include Conzelmann Farms, Copper Ridge and Renaissance Communities throughout Sherwood.  We organize the event for our participating neighborhoods, cover all marketing costs and manage promotion from print to web.  Over the years it's helped contribute added exposure to the Sherwood community, helping to bring more shoppers from all over during what's become Sherwood's biggest garage sale weekend of the year.  Find out more about the annual Sherwood Community Garage Sale event!

Aaron J. Conteras Golf Tournament Sponsors:  We're proud to sponsor the Sherwood Booster club for their 2010 golf tournament.  Hosting two teams, Gardner Team Gold and Gardner Team Black, Jason treated a few of our golfing clients while supporting a great cause.

Sherwood Historical Society Sponsors:  Without history, where would our future be?  And that's why when we were asked to sponsor the Sherwood Historical Society, we said you bet!  Passionate about our communities history and the wonderful things the Sherwood Historical Society contributes to our kids and community, we wanted to be there when they needed our help.  In 2010 Amber also had the opportunity to dress up and volunteer to teach local school kids more about our communities roots and the way they lived.  In the summer when they offered their annual History Camp, we partnered with a local company to provide all the t-shirts for the entire camp program.
